I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in downtown Menlo Park and Palo Alto. I am also on the clinical faculty at Stanford University’s Department of Psychiatry. I hold board certifications in both psychology and behavioral sleep medicine. I apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches to the treatment of sleep difficulties, anxiety and stress, and mood disorders. I have a strong background in evidence-based medicine and focus on practical, results-oriented treatments that have been proven effective.
In addition to my clinical work, I have a program of research at Stanford University in sleep and mood disorders. I truly believe my clinical work informs the research I explore and my research, in turn, informs the treatments I practice. I give lectures on sleep and mental health at Stanford University and Bay Area hospitals, and present research findings at local and national conferences. I am also passionate about using technology to improve mental health care delivery, and I consult for established and emerging companies in the Silicon Valley in areas related to sleep, depression and anxiety.
I’ve enjoyed living in the Bay Area for the last 15 years. Outside of the office, I spend my time running, reading, eating new foods and hanging out with my two sons.
